Cate Caldwell writes science fiction, fantasy, and alternate history. She has published stories and poems in Morpheus Tales, Southwestern Review, Legends, the Write to Woof anthology by Grey Wolfe Publishing and elsewhere.
She and collaborator Matt Pearson recently published a longer work entitled “The Sun Never Sets,” an alternate history novella about a Victorian space race. It can be found on amazon.
She has also written six feature length screenplays, four with Matt Pearson. Their scripts have been finalists in the Page International Screenwriting Awards and the Creative World Awards.
When not writing, Cate enjoys hiking, backcountry camping, scuba diving, and having adventures. An avowed geek, she also devours anything having to do with nerd culture.
She and Matt Pearson live just north of Detroit in a dilapidated house built by a stone mason in the 1920s with a pride of super-genius attack cats who are too independent to behave like proper minions.
